COVID-19 Shelter-In-Place Mandate (3/27/20)

To our Butte Veterinary Center family and clients,

Governor Steve Bullock has ordered the community to stay at home except for all essential personnel for essential businesses, effective at 12:00 am Saturday (3/28/20).

Veterinary clinics are considered an essential business. Therefore, we will remain open to continue to provide medical care for our clients and patients with a limited number of staff. This evening, our staff reached out to those who had already-scheduled appointments (between 3/27-4/11) to either cancel, confirm or reschedule each appointment or procedure.  The confirmed appointments will stay at the same times as we discussed today. Aside from these exceptions, clinic hours during the Shelter-In-Place order will be Monday - Friday from 9am until 3pm. Additionally, a Veterinarian and Technician will be on-call 24/7 for pet emergencies. If your pet needs medical attention and care, we will be here for you.

For the time being, our available appointments will be reserved for sick/injured pets, pets under current treatment and pets on long-term medication, as recommended by the American Veterinary Medical Association.  Emergencies will ALWAYS be seen.   If you have any questions, please call us. Again, we are happy to answer all questions. Due to the conservation of medical supplies and personal protective equipment, all elective surgical procedures and wellness appointments will be postponed until this order has been lifted.

Our current COVID-19 protocol provides curbside service. When you arrive at the clinic, please call our office, and a staff member will be out to assist you. Please remain in your car for everyone’s safety. If you need to pick up a prescription or other products including food, please call at least 48 hours ahead. This will give us time to prepare your items and have them set aside. Then when you arrive at the clinic, you may call us from your car and a staff member will bring out your items to you. Credit card payments can be processed from inside your car or over the phone, and cash or check may be given to a staff member to bring inside. At this time, only BVC employees and approved vendors will be allowed to enter the building.

Please be patient with us during this time.  Remember we are all in this together, and we will get through this. Following these recommended guidelines will keep us strong and help to minimize risk to ourselves, our families, our loved ones and our communities.

Please call the front desk if you have any questions or concerns at (406) 299-2102.

Stay healthy,

Your Butte Veterinary Center Team
