Rachel

Rachel is a Butte native and has proudly called this community home her entire life. With over 16 years of experience in veterinary medicine, she brings a deep sense of dedication and familiarity to her role. She spent 11 years working alongside Dr. McQueary before joining Butte Veterinary Center nearly five years ago, where she continues to be a valued and steady presence on the team.

Rachel’s goal in veterinary medicine is to provide excellent care for every animal while helping clients feel comfortable, supported, and at ease. She believes that building trust with both pets and their people is one of the most important parts of the job. Her passion for helping animals, combined with her ability to connect with their owners, makes her an integral part of the clinic.

While working in veterinary medicine, Rachel also studied to become a funeral director — a path that reflects her compassion and ability to support others through difficult moments. She brings that same empathy and understanding into her work each day, caring not only for patients but for the people who love them. She also deeply values the relationships she’s built with her coworkers and considers her team an important part of what makes this work so meaningful.

Outside of the clinic, Rachel enjoys reading, writing short stories, playing video games, and spending time with her kids. At home, she has quite the crew — seven cats named Bam Bam, Yoshi, JJ, Meliodas, Sinclair, Harriette, and Lucky, along with a turtle named Jeffrey.
